The initial shipment of this new viewer in Winter of 2002 had many problems. Some had advancing problems, but the worst part was the lenses. So bad I don't even think they should qualify as lenses.
In Winter 2003 they released an updated version that from what I have seen is a vast improvement. I have only seen a few samples so it's hard to say if they are all good quality or will remain that way. A year later they are actually usable however.
My one gripe with the design is the narrow angle for light to enter the diffuser. Also the reel titles are awkward to look at (ok two gripes )
